Helsinki Summit 2018 – Tom of Finland Style
Actually I was searching for The New Yorker's front covers, when I found the first pic, which should have been reused for the recent Helsinki Summit. The cover I originally was interested in is the next one. There is also an article about the graphic, How the New Yorker’s new Putin/Trump cover came together like ‘a perfect storm’
Which one is your favorite?
Added later:
As an author I have been lately increasingly interested in pictures, moving and static, how they can convey a story, feeling, or idea with so little means. A recent visit in Salo art museum and Herb Ritts photo exhibition left me speechless. Regarding front cover art and The New Yorker in particular, the following TED talk is my pick.
Would be so cool and Tom of Finland stylish if the Equestrian statue of Marshal Mannerheim was replaced by a fat, veiny phallus!*
