Professori Gerdes:
Putin’s Economy Is Sinking—Then Trump Steps In
I examine the reported Trump-Putin diesel arrangement against the backdrop of Ukraine’s long-range campaign against Russian refining. Ukrainian officials cited in this episode say more than 51% of Russia’s oil-refining capacity has been put out of action, while Trump said Putin would supply more than 3,000 tons of diesel immediately and another 500 in November. I compare those volumes with U.S. diesel consumption and explain why the practical price effect appears limited—even as the political and financial signal to Moscow could matter.
I also track the mounting strains described across Russia’s war economy: post-Soviet-high defense spending, civilian budget cuts, grain-sector losses, unfinished real-estate projects, a growing share of loss-making businesses, and reported depletion of the National Wealth Fund. My central question is whether Washington is increasing pressure on the Kremlin at a moment of refinery and fiscal vulnerability—or providing it relief while pressuring Zelensky.

Russian Internet CUT OFF after Yandex Drone Attacks
Ukraine continued their attacks on Russian energy targets in Samara, Ukhta, and Novoshakhtinsk. Ukraine has now struck three Yandex data centers in Sasovo, Kaluga, and Vladimir leading to internet outages. Trump has lifted sanctions on Russia and announced America will be buying billions of dollars of Russian diesel fuel.

YouTube bloggareita on kymmenkunta muutakin kiinnostavaa.
Tämän päälle on sitten rakennettu mitä ihmeellisintä tarinaa.

Viimeiset viikot on ollut täynnä hyviä uutisia, joskin Operaatio Vivaldista on kerrottu vasta hiljattain. Siitä kerrottaneen lisää tällä tai ensi viikolla.
– Ainakin 20 korkea-arvoista upseeria kokoontui rakennukseen, jonka Ukraina onnistui tuhoamaan täysin.
Talvesta tulee ankara molemmille maille. Putin ei suostu ehdotuksiin, joilla säästettäisiin siviiliväestöä talven pakkasilta kummassakin maassa.
Toinen murheellinen asia on Ukrainan siviilien suunnitelmallinen tappaminen.

UKRAINE FOUND PUTIN’S WEAK SPOT! Even Russia Admits the Scale of the Disaster. Trump Is Furious.
Borys Tizengauzen:
Trump is furious: Ukraine is being ordered to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries. Washington is threatening to cut off weapons supplies and intelligence sharing. An energy ceasefire has been announced – but the parties involved know nothing about it. Russian State Duma members are already mocking Trump’s statements.
Zelensky responded to demands for elections with a move against Putin. The Kremlin demands Donbas instead of a ceasefire. Russia’s Foreign Ministry suddenly remembered the need to protect civilians – just not Ukrainian civilians. Strikes on Yandex exposed the Kremlin’s digital vulnerability. A Russian minister acknowledged the unprecedented scale of the attack. Restoring the data centers could take up to six months. Simonyan swapped Yandex for Google – her patriotism suffered a malfunction. European intelligence agencies warn of preparations for assassination attempts against arms industry figures. The EU is preparing new visa restrictions for Russians. Estonia warns that Russian veterans could take over Europe’s criminal underworld. A new sanctions package targets Russia’s defense industry. US senators accuse Trump of breaking the law over Russian diesel.

Trump: Zelensky must be ousted & energy ceasefire crumbles | Russia-Ukraine latest war news today
As President Trump looks set to buy Putin’s diesel, is this a turning point in the war?
Today, after a weekend that has surely seen America’s global moral authority fundamentally weakened, we try to make sense of the dizzying news reports and developments in the war. President Zelensky called Donald Trump’s extraordinary decision to buy fuel from Russia “weak” which, coming after he failed to secure the Nobel Peace prize – again – Mr Trump took in a typically gracious and statesmanlike manner. Then, despite claims from the US President that he’d brokered an energy ceasefire, neither side took any notice. We try to work out what it all means, and whether all that has actually been achieved this weekend is that US taxpayers’ dollars will now go directly to kill Ukrainian civilians.

Trump Threatens to Cut Ukraine’s Weapons AND Intelligence.
I examine reports from the Financial Times, the Kyiv Independent, The Economist, The Telegraph, and Bloomberg that the Trump administration has threatened to restrict intelligence cooperation and Pearl Program weapons support if Ukraine continues striking Russian oil infrastructure. Ukrainian sources also reportedly fear sanctions affecting F-16AM spare-parts deliveries, while European capitals are said to be under pressure to stop supplying weapons.
I separate reported facts from political commentary and ask what leverage Washington still holds—and what would be lost if intelligence sharing were curtailed. I also cover the reported Russian diesel arrangement, the strike on the NZNP Rostovsky oil-products terminal in Rostov-on-Don, fuel-price politics ahead of the midterms, and Admiral James Stavridis’s argument that a credible ceasefire strategy requires sustained pressure on Russia, coordination with Europe, and continued support for Ukraine.
